STUDIO AWARDS

Presented at the annual studio recital, our studio awards honor the exceptional qualities that make our community so special, and also serve as resume-building musical achievements for our students. Several are especially meaningful because they are peer-nominated, recognizing recipients not only by their instructor but also through the appreciation of their fellow students and the entire studio community.


Honors Award

The Honors Award recognizes students who inspire others through their exceptional motivation and dedication to their cello studies. Recipients have demonstrated consistent progress and improvement throughout the year, driven by a deep passion for music learning and a commitment to excellence. This award celebrates their perseverance, willingness to challenge themselves, and potential for continued growth.

Artistry Award

The Artistry Award honors students who inspire others through their exceptional musical expression and sensitivity in their cello playing. It celebrates their ability to connect with an audience and bring a unique perspective to their performance. Awardees are students who are developing independence in their music studies, showing a deep understanding of their repertoire and making their own interpretations of the music.

Studio Ambassador Award

The Studio Ambassador Award honors students who lead by example, inspiring others through their enthusiasm and positive influence within our cello studio community. Recipients foster a supportive, inclusive environment, promote camaraderie among peers, and embody the core values of our studio. They serve as role models for other studio members, and create a welcoming atmosphere where all students feel valued and supported in their musical journey. 

Legacy Award

The Legacy Award honors students who have shown long-term dedication to the studio. Students who have been members for five or more consecutive years are eligible, with those reaching eight or more years receiving the award with distinction. This award also symbolizes the deep bond cultivated between the teacher and student, acknowledging the transformative impact of this relationship, where the student becomes as much a part of the teacher’s journey of growth and evolution as the teacher is in the student’s.
