Teaching Assistant Application Form
Each school year, Dr. Chenoa Orme-Stone Cello Studio welcomes a dedicated Teaching Assistant, many of whom have gone on to pursue music careers or take on leadership roles in ensembles. Professional cellists and advanced students (both current and prospective) who are thoughtful, communicative, and interested in developing their skills as cellists, educators, and leaders within a musical community are encouraged to apply.
The TA position includes a full tuition scholarship for individualized mentorship (which may include cello study, chamber music coaching, pedagogy, or other areas of professional development), as well as access to studio classes and recitals, and a small stipend. In return, the TA provides secondary lessons and additional support to studio members who would benefit from extra guidance, helps foster a supportive and inclusive environment at studio events, and serves as a role model within the community. The TA may also observe private lessons and studio activities, gaining insight into teaching strategies and studio management. Beyond supporting current students, the position is designed to cultivate future educators and musical leaders through meaningful, hands-on teaching experience.
